Worship is our response to what God has done for us, and at Woodview we seek to worship God in all we do. Romans 11:36-12:1 says, "everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen. And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him."
This means that worship is primarily an attitude, or the state of our heart. Worship does not depend upon our circumstances, our surroundings, or the style that we might prefer. Instead, worship flows out of our deep love for God because of His love for us.
Worship is both individual and also corporate. We gather together for corporate worship on Sunday mornings. At these times, we set aside our differences and our preferences so that we can focus on God who unites us together.
