About Us


Mark Walker


Mark has been in the pastor at Woodview since December of 2007. Mark and his wife, Jennifer, have two young children. His driving passion in life is to help people know and follow Jesus Christ. In his spare time Mark enjoys spending time with his family, competing in triathlons, and reading.

Mark grew up in Washington State. He earned a BS in Religion from Northwest Nazarene University and an MDiv and DMin from Nazarene Theological Seminary.

Dr. David Williams

Pastor of Discipleship

Pastor David joined the Woodview staff in December 2011. He, his wife Erika, and two daughters moved to Michigan in 2010 when he accepted a position at Michigan State University where he is an assistant professor. David’s call to ministry came in 2009 while serving as a layperson in a church in Syracuse, NY. He has a passion for Jesus and for helping others grow in their faith and love for others. David enjoys Red Sox baseball, playing guitar, and all manner of outdoor activities including hiking and camping.

David is a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College (B.S. Biology), University of Rhode Island (M.S. Fisheries), and SUNY ESF (Ph.D. Wildlife Ecology). He is currently working towards ordination and completing courses through Nazarene Bible College.

Marcus Cleveland

Pastor of Youth

Pastor Marcus joined the Woodview staff in November of 2013. Marcus works full-time for the Lansing Public Schools where he works with special needs children. Prior to joining our staff Marcus and his wife Casey served as our youth leaders. Marcus and Casey have a tremendous love of teens and are passionate about youth! In their spare time, they hang out with their crazy dog, Rascal, and spend time with their families and their 5 nieces and nephews.

Marcus is finishing his degree (B.A. Religious Studies) from Olivet Nazarene University and is working towards ordination.

Devon Staples

Pastor of Compassionate Ministry

Pastor Devon is the newest member of our staff, joining on as the Pastor of Compassionate Ministries in March of 2016. Devon and his wife, Megan, have one young daughter. Devon is the Director of Band at Heritage Christian Academy in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he teaches instrumental music for grades 5-12. He is passionate about serving and sharing the love of Christ with others. Devon enjoys cooking, playing trumpet, board games and spending time with his family.

Devon is a graduate of Wayne State University (B.A. Music Education). He is currently working towards ordination while pursuing a Master of Divinity at Nazarene Theological Seminary.

Patty Gregory


Patty has been a part of Woodview her entire life and has served as Church Secretary for the past ten years. She loves her family, and has a burning desire to know Jesus more. In her free time she enjoys sewing, reading, and drinking Sweet Tea from McAlister's Deli.

Mark Traver


Mark has spent most of his life at Woodview and currently serves as Church Custodian. Mark and his wife Jamie have three boys. In his "free" time, Mark enjoys helping his boys in their many athletic endeavors. He's also a baseball nut.
